I added a couple improvements to the blog today:
1. Each post now has a link to a “printer-friendly display” (link located at the bottom of the post). Clicking on this link opens a page with the post in a single-column format and sans the big logo at the top. Example here.
Several readers asked me to implement this feature. Thaks for the helpful input. I followed Elise’s instructions in this post on Learning Movable Type. Excellent.
2. Each post now includes an “E-mail me regarding this post” link (also at the bottom of each entry). This is another suggestion from a reader. Thanks again.
This one helps me tremendously. I get quite a few e-mail messages about posts on the blog, and I usually have to spend time figuring out exactly which post the reader is describing in the e-mail. The new e-mail link automatically populates the subject line of the message with the post title — eliminating the need for me to match the post to the message.
I’ll keep adding improvements to the blog as I discover areas that need it…and in response to suggestions you provide. Feel free to e-mail any ideas you have.
