Russia amending laws to strengthen IP protections
Link: Changes to the Russian criminal code designed to strengthen IP protections are apparently on the way. According to this article, though, much needs to be done, including training of lawyers and judges to ensure adequate protections.
The Russian Minister of Education and Science apparently gets it, stating that protected intellectual property should become a basis of the new Russian economy.
